I'm Troy Parker, an interior designer and construction project manager working across Santa Fe and Albuquerque, New York City, Los Angeles, Connecticut, and Martha's Vineyard. I design complete residential interiors — from architectural planning and space layout through furnishings, finishes, lighting, and final styling — and I manage the builds myself, which means the drawings and the finished room actually match.
From Fashion Houses to Interiors
I trained in fashion design at Parsons School of Design and the Fashion Institute of Technology, then studied business at New York University. I spent years inside Zac Posen, Gucci, Longchamp, and Salvatore Ferragamo, where the standard for fabric, proportion, and finish was absolute. That training never left me. It's why I care as much about the weave of a drapery panel or the profile of a cabinet door as I do about the floor plan.
The move into interiors came through BSP, a New York interior design and construction firm, where I worked on high-profile residential projects including an Upper West Side penthouse. Fashion taught me materials and silhouette. Construction taught me tolerances, sequencing, and what a trade crew can actually deliver on site.
Design and Construction Under One Roof
Most clients hire a designer and then hire a contractor, and spend the project translating between them. I do both. I draft the architectural and electrical plans, specify every material, coordinate the trades, and hold the schedule and budget. That structure removes the most expensive problem in residential renovation — a design that looks good on paper and can't be built as drawn.

Discipline From Service
I'm a decorated veteran serving in the Air Force Reserves, where I trained in cargo load planning. Load planning is spatial problem-solving under hard constraints with no room for error. It shaped how I run a job site: sequenced, documented, and on schedule.

Every project starts with a conversation about how you actually live, followed by a concept and space plan, material and furnishing selections, then construction with me coordinating the trades. You'll see 3D renderings before anything is ordered or demolished, so there are no surprises. I keep communication direct and frequent — you'll always know what's happening and what's next.
